Progettato dallo studio britannico RHWL Architects and
Aedas, il complesso residenziale Barkli Gallery è uno degli
edifici più prestigiosi e lussuosi di Mosca, ispirato all’arte
dei primi anni del XX secolo, in particolare all’opera di
Leon Bakst. La struttura è caratterizzata da architetture
neoclassiche e motivi Art Nouveau. Dei 43 appartamenti,
quattro sono gli attici, ispirati alle più grandi capitali del
mondo. L’attico Barkli Shangai, progettato dall’Arch. Maria
Bakhareva dello studio Baharev and partners, si articola su
300 mq, suddivisi in stanze “scatole”, ciascuna connotata
stilisticamente e artisticamente in modo unico. Sono stati
ingaggiati abili artisti e artigiani per realizzare un complesso
apparato decorativo, composto principalmente da pannelli,
sculture e ceramiche ispirati a motivi tradizionali giapponesi.
Il lusso regna sovrano in ogni dettaglio, specificamente
studiato per il proprietario. Nello studio sono tante le citazioni
all’arte degli anni ‘20, come il pannello “Cosmos”, realizzato
ad imitazione dello stile “laccato” del famoso artista Erté. A
specchiarsi nel tondo c’è il lampadario Première Dame con la
sua sofisticata ricchezza decorativa. I suoi scintillanti pendagli
e le coppette finemente lavorate in cristallo veneziano sono
abbinati a finiture metalliche oro e a paralumi neri, in pendant
con i colori del pannello.

Barkli Shanghai Penthouse
Designed by the British studio RHWL Architects and
Aedas, the Barkli Gallery residential complex is one of
the most prestigious and luxurious buildings in Moscow,
inspired by early 20th-century art, particularly the works of
Leon Bakst. The structure is characterized by neoclassical
architecture and Art Nouveau motifs. Of the 43 apartments,
four are penthouses, each inspired by the greatest capitals
of the world. The Barkli Shanghai penthouse, designed by
Architect Maria Bakhareva of the Baharev and partners
studio, spans 300 square meters, divided into "box" rooms,
each uniquely styled and artistically distinguished. Skilled
artists and craftsmen were commissioned to create
a complex decorative apparatus, mainly composed of
panels, sculptures, and ceramics inspired by traditional
Japanese motifs. Luxury reigns supreme in every detail,
specifically designed for the owner. The study features
numerous references to the art of the 1920s, such as the
"Cosmos" panel, crafted in imitation of the famous artist
Erté's "lacquered" style. Reflecting in the round mirror is the
Premiere Dame chandelier with its sophisticated decorative
richness. Its sparkling pendants and finely crafted Venetian
crystal cups are paired with gold metal finishes and black
lampshades, matching the colors of the panel.
