Lucio Fontana, Concetto spaziale, 1967
INSPIRED BY
A tribute to the gesture by which Lucio Fontana definitely
changed the essence and form of Art, for sure the most si-
gnificant gesture during the 1900s.
An instinctive gesture which, penetrating the canvas, leaves
a unique sign. But on that cut surface Fontana creates pro-
truding, projecting, backlying parts which give rise to lights
and shadows. The clean break decided by the artist inspires
the slanted line of Slash on which the sliding, moving, re-
joining volumes groove the surfaces. Slash departs from the
usual mould with a sharp stroke, introduces new energy
which modifies the volumes and makes the space dinamical.
Slash is a platform on which different and customized at-
mospheres can be created, where the volumes play a fun-
damental role, while searching for balance and harmony.
