Michele Marcon nasce a Castelfranco Veneto, nel 1970.
La sua attività nel campo dell’industrial e dell’interior
design è stata sempre orientata alla ricerca di un’estetica
intrinsecamente collegata all’uso e alla funzione.
Ha collaborato con numerose aziende dell’arredamento,
avvalendosi, per vent’anni, dell’esperienza e della fiducia
dell’indimenticato designer Lino Codato.
Oggi il suo stile – maturo e solido – coniuga un deciso
orientamento all’innovazione con la conoscenza di una
buona parte dei processi industriali e manifatturieri.

Y
L’ISPIRAZIONE
Può venire da qualunque cosa. È fondamentale, tuttavia,
relazionarsi con la storia, con i classici: operare in un
contesto.
Artic reinterpreta in chiave attuale il concetto di
cavalletto da studio; s’ispira, inoltre, a composizioni anni
Sessanta, dove lo zoccolo viene abbandonato a favore del
concetto di gamba, che acquisisce una propria dignità e
un proprio carattere.
Icaro, con i suoi profili morbidi e sinuosi che ricordano
tronchi d’albero mossi dal vento, corregge la rigorosa
geometricità del minimal grazie a influenze quasi esotiche.
Il letto Lauren è stato ispirato dalla flessuosità e dall’e-
leganza delle forme femminili: la leggera curvatura del
ring, abbinata alla rastrematura delle gambe, e il morbido
equilibrio della struttura snella e sfaccettata, danno ca-
rattere al prodotto, rendendolo adatto anche a una collo-
cazione free standing.
Michael Marcon was born in Castelfranco Veneto, in 1970. His
work in the field of industrial and interior design has always fo-
cused on the pursuit of an aesthetic which is intrinsically linked
to use and function. He has collaborated with many furniture
companies, and for the past twenty years, has been drawing on
the experience and knowledge of the unforgettable designer,
Lino Codato. Today his style - mature and solid - combines a
resolute orientation towards innovation with experience gained,
to a large extent, from industrial and manufacturing processes.
It can come from anything. It is crucial, however, to create ties with
our history, with the classics: to work in a context.
Artic is a modern reinterpretation of the concept of the studio easel; it
gives inspiration, moreover, to compositions from the Sixties, where
the concept of a base is abandoned in favour of the leg, acquiring a
dignity and character of its own.
Icaro, with its soft and sinuous profiles that resemble tree trunks
swayed by the wind, improving the rigorous geometric of minimal
design thanks to influences that are almost exotic.
The Lauren bed was inspired by the suppleness and elegance of the
female form: the light curvature of the ring, in combination with the
tapering of the legs, and the subtle balance of the streamlined and multi-
faceted structure, lend character to the product, making it also suitable for a
freestanding position.
