Richard III

Ecco gli ingredienti di questa poltrona
altamente simbolica. La Richard III è stata
creata da Philippe Starck che, ispirato dalla
vista di vecchie poltrone da club malandate
abbandonate per strada, decise di donare loro
una nuova vita. In quel momento, Starck stava
immaginando gli interni dell’appartamento
privato del Presidente nel Palazzo dell’Eliseo
e la Richard III divenne la poltrona preferita
del Presidente François Mitterrand.

The Richard III was created by Philippe Starck
who, moved by the sight of battered old club
armchairs abandoned in the street, decided
to give them a new life. At this time, Starck
was imagining President’s private apartment
interiors in the Elysée Palace and the Richard
III became President François Mitterrand’s
favorite armchair.
