This is a french directoire chair with a provincial twist. While the
profile is outstanding, the heart of the design is an oval cutout
highlighting the fabric — once an allusion to shield motifs and
now a symbol of the imagination within us. The fabric defines the
chair as traditional or contemporary. a candidate for two or even
three fabrics.
