a queen anne chair with an upholsterd back in lieu of a splat.
elongated shepherd’s crook arm. distinctive cabriole legs, with
unusual splayed back legs. nail trim.
this chair owes to lord middleton and the family’s home at Wollaton
hall — a tudor palace filled with the work of robert adam, thomas
chippendale and england’s well - known portraitists. the crown
suggests that it was made for the visit by the royal family. ideal at a
desk or positioned as a piece of sculpture. optional gold decorated
trim accents on crown and legs (5139d, inset). circa 1710.
