club chair with a tufted back. scrolled arms and a tight seat. bun
feet. nailhead trim standard on leather.
the original resides in dunsany castle, which was built to defend
the dublin port from the irish some 200 years before christopher
columbus. more recently, the grandfather of lord dunsany was
honored for the greatest first chapter in the history of the english
novel. that would be appropriate to this chair — where many novels
are consumed. While often covered in leather, mohair and velvet
make up beautifully. circa 1890.
