this is a new take on a bergère. tall curved back with sinuous arms.
tight back and seat with kidney pillow. exposed wood banding
including a framed back. tapered legs.
this is a reference to William bottomley, a beaux arts architect
whose work included a famous 1930s new York apartment building
called river house. bill sofield recently did a major project there,
and this chair is a variation on a small but elegant design for that
assignment. framed back invites a combination fabric.
