| Paris sofa
contemporized chesterfield with a pulled channel and a bench seat
rather than tufting. Welt trim standard, oversized nickel nailhead trim
optional. square tapered legs. nickel cap and caster.
inspired by a mid-century example, this sofa takes the chesterfield to
an entirely different place. the low, but long, proportions are important
for downtown living — full-sized but not excessively so. designed to
be art deco, but a change of fabric and trim allow a fresh traditional
look. the low back allows it to float easily or anchor a setting under a
picture window. one of baker’s most published designs.
