Steeped in French Modernism, the sheer scale of the Galerie Settee couples with a disengaged leg to create the
illusion of a floating mass. An exposed wood back rewards the eye with just the hint of a curve. A single, fairly
tight, attached box cushion back offers ample opportunity for a fabric statement. A substantial single seat
cushion not only mirrors that look but also adds a graphic appeal. Circa 1958.
