For Canasta, the play between classic and contemporary
is without any nostalgia: if the Viennese cane inspiration
is retro, the polyethylene texture speaks today’s language
with its geometric decorative pattern.
The circular sofa is characterised by ribbons in polyethylene
fibre woven on aluminium frames painted with polyester
powder to make them weather resistant. Classic in style
but with a contemporary sense of plasticity, Canasta is a
hyper-decorative product, ideal for use at the edge of a
swimming pool or in a luxuriant garden.
Canasta ‘13 is a collection of sofas, armchairs and small
tables that maintain the iconic design of the Canasta
series, changing its look to blend more with the external
environment. The different pieces that make up the family
are characterized by a light weave, which lets the light shine
through, making them like pieces of land art that integrate
and harmonize with the surrounding scenery. The interlacing
is made of mélange dove-grey polyethylene yarn, a fibre
which guarantees solidity, lightness and durability, with a
refined texture that gives a very natural effect. Particularly
spectacular is the oversized circular sofa, which can be
equipped with a 360° swivel base and a light foldable hood
that reduces the passage of sunrays by up to 92%.
