With its enveloping, feminine lines, Crinoline is a collection
of outdoor seats whose very name echoes romantic
nineteenth-century ladies’ skirts. The armchair with high
backrest is characterised by a wide hollow base, also echoed
in the seat and in the curvature of the back. It comes in two
versions: one featuring a light and transparent interlacing
in polyethylene fibre with a surprisingly natural texture, the
other made even more precious and romantic by a floral motif
either in polyethylene fibre or in abaca. The seat cushion is
upholstered in a wide range of outdoor fabrics. In addition
to this scenographic armchair, the Crinoline series includes
a small armchair, chairs and stools.
Tobi-Ishi Outdoor is a sculptural table that makes reference,
stylistically and in its very name, to the ornamental stones
(tobi-ishi) used in traditional Japanese gardens. The form,
which is distinguished by the cantilever top and the bases
that look different depending on the point of observation,
alludes precisely to those smooth stones. Tobi-Ishi Outdoor
is available as dining table and low table, both made of
cement in four different colours: grey, anthracite, brick
and green.
