Ribes is a modular seating system with a focus on versatility,
customisation, color and research on materials. Sofas,
central and end elements, chaises longues and ottomans
all come in a huge variety of shapes and sizes that lend
themselves to being arranged according to personal taste
thanks to the exceptional modularity of the components
and the availability of a vast range of covers and finishes.
The starting point of the system is a futon base with
flexible glass-fibre slats resting on an aluminium frame to
which two types of arm or back rest can be attached as
desired: one with a polypropylene fibre interlacing, the other
with a roller cushion. On top are seat cushions intended as
comfortable mattresses to stretch out on and several
shapes of back- and armrest cushion, all giving Ribes a
particularly lived-in and soft look.
The Canasta and Canasta ’13 collections include low tables
in different sizes. They share a geometric design and steel
frames painted with weather resistant polyester powder.
The tops of Canasta are covered with tiles featuring a
decorative black and white pattern; those of Canasta ’13
are in porcelain stoneware in cement color.
