Venetian Blown Glass
The special processing of Bontà glass,
handmade in the Artemide glassworks,
makes each lamp a unique piece.
It is the result of a reinterpretation
of the traditional Venetian “balloton”
technique. With a double processing,
small square-based pyramids are first
impressed into the hot glass and in a
second phase the final shape is given
to the piece.
Hand blowing transforms the three-
dimensional pattern into a texture of
different transparencies that, thanks to
the light, comes to life.
