Artemide always develops its products with special attention to the
flexibility of using all possible innovations in the field of LEDs. Many are, in
fact, a variety of components available on the market, each with its own
special features and suitable for different purposes.
Artemide designs and manufactures all the LED circuits required to turn
on the product and operate it correctly over time, in order to prevent any
problems and quickly repair any possible defects.
Among the most important types of LED used are:
• 5mm LED, which offers the highest average life span with intermediate
light levels;
• SMD-LED, which enables the size to be minimised while maintaining
good values
of luminous flux;
• Power LED, characterised by a wide choice of power and luminous flux
and high life expectancy;
• multi-chip LED, characterised by high power, up to over 20W per
module, with high luminous flux.
Artemide offers the possibility of using dimmable systems (1-10V, PUSH
button, DALI) or home automation control and lighting management
systems by means of specific drivers or ad-hoc solutions. The dimming of
the LED allows you to create user-controlled lighting scenarios and adjust
the brightness for better viewing comfort.

Artemide is able to c customise and tailor their products to meet the
various design requirements, thanks to the electronic control and the
flexibility in the choice of LED. To request any type of specific or special
project, you can contact our technical department.
Artemide manufactures its circuits with power signals in constant current
or constant voltage, equivalent to a connection in series or in parallel to
the products, respectively. For the correct selection of the transformer or
power supply required to operate the lighting, we recommend you follow
these guidelines:
Power calculation for electronic driver with constant current:
To properly select the driver necessary for electrical installation, it is
sufficient to sum up the power values of each fixture, expressed in W
(Watt), as indicated in the catalogue, and to select a ballast with a rated
power 20% higher than the resulting total power value.

To properly select the driver with constant current (350/500/700mA),
choose the driver following the indication “N° LED max” in the relevant
