Macro-scaled ginkgo leaves characterize this wallcovering, named
after the millenary city of Dali in China. The leaves look like they were
drawn with subtle lines on the three-dimensional background, marked by
a shantung silk effect with its typical knots and irregularities. The timeless
beauty of ginkgo trees - symbols of endurance and regeneration - recalls
the Armani values and the taste for Oriental influences.

The moiré technique is used to modifiy the surface of fabrics, changing
the reflection of light on their fibers: the result can be compared to wood
veins or a watered appearance. The moiré effect - already present within
Giorgio Armani fashion and Armani/Casa upholstery fabrics - finds a
new declination on wallcovering, thanks to an engraving process on vinyl.
