The Refined Structures collections take inspiration from the vast universe of Armani/
Casa design. Thanks to specifically conceived production techniques, the vinyl support
is used strategically to recreate three-dimensional textures and rich material effects.
Nature is one of the main protagonists with its bamboo forests, ginkgo leaves and
flourishing oak branches. Fashion is present with the iconic patterns of the Armani style –
canneté and chevron – as well as the precious embroideries by Giorgio Armani Privé,
the typical irregularities of shantung silk and the defining pattern of moiré finishing.
Trompe-l’oeil and boiserie effects recall the aesthetic of antique wallcoverings,
reinterpreted in a contemporary way; intertwined motifs celebrate craftsmanship and
traditional handwork, through textures evoking exquisite techniques like straw marquetry
and Japanese tatami.
