INDOOR
For Giorgio Armani, dressing a home with fabrics is not different from dressing a person
with clothes: it is all about finding the perfect balance between a refined elegance and
the expression of one’s inner self.
Armani/Casa collections constantly refer to fabrics and textures that, during the years,
have become icons of the Giorgio Armani’s aesthetics, like canneté, chevron and
checkered motifs. The inspiration often come from the fashion archives, through pieces
whose exclusiveness is reinterpreted to weave fabrics suitable for upholstery. Nature
is an important source of inspiration, not only for the design - flowers, leaves, shells,
feathers - but also for the palette, ranging from bright colourful touches to neutral tones
visible in the typical alternance of the seasons: all the shades of green, blue, grey, mud,
sand. Last but not least, a subtle link to Art Déco and Eastern cultures is often visible:
elements of the European heritage and of the Japanese culture blend with harmony
and rigorousness with all the other influences typical of the Armani style.
