The armchairs provided for the new auditorium in the Ministry of Health in Rome had to meet two basic needs: one part of the room had to be fitted with a flexible and modular seating system, while the other part required permanent seats equipped with a sophisticated simultaneous interpretation system and microphone. With these requirements in mind, Ares Line created GENESIS EVOLUTION, a new seat that can be harmoniously combined with the folding PAPILLON model.
Technical Specifications
Fully dismountable armchair with separate elements
The seat is filled with self-extinguishing polyurethane, cold-foamed, without the use of CFC; the minimum density is of 55 kg/m3.
It is made of tubular steel with elasticised bearing belts.
The backrest is made of 13 mm beech ply-wood. Its padding is filled with self-extinguishing contoured polyurethane foam with the average thickness of 65 mm and the density 40 kg/m3.
The armchair has the Italian Class 1IM Certificate for flame retardancy from the Italian Ministry of the Interior.
The side is made of structural steel with padded side panels.
The armrest can be padded and upholstered, in natural varnished wood or in polyurethane.
The tip-up movement of the seat works by gravity.
The lower part of the back is covered by a grey painted steel plate.
The optional under-seat is in natural varnished beech ply-wood.
The anchor plate for floor fixing is in steel 4 mm. thick. The covering base is in grey varnished steel plate or in varnished solid beechwood.
All visible metal parts are in grey color, painted with epoxy scratch-resistant powders.
Writing table
It can have a retractable one inside the armrest, made of HPL material (High Pressure Laminated) with overall dimensions (226 x 310 x 8 mm), with rounded edges, black colour; the anti-panic device of the tablet is steel made.
Or can have an anti-panic one fixed on the back, made of post-formed scratch-resistant bilaminate wood conglomerate with rounded front edge.
Side and rear edges in ABS, 2 mm thick. The standard depth is 300 mm. and the thickness is 30 mm.
The supports of it is in stamped steel and are 3 mm thick. Its movement is obtained by using two stamped steel hinges which are 5 mm. thick and move on brass bushes.
