“PIBIONES” è il metodo di tessitura tradizionale sardo,
realizzata mediante l’impiego di vecchi telai in legno
con ferri attorno al quale la lana viene avvolta per
realizzare riccioli compatti (come se fossero piccoli
grappoli d’uva). Questa particolare tecnica di tessitura
Pibiones risulta in rilievo al tessuto, creando un design
tra tessuto in alto rilievo e tessuto in basso rilievo.
La produzione avviene con materiali naturali, lana
di pecore sarde, materiali sostenibili per l’ambiente,
perché l’uso della lana evita di utilizzare materiali
sintetici. I colori sono naturali e realizzati a mano.
"PIBIONES" is the traditional Sardinian weaving
method, made by using old wooden looms with irons
around which the wool is wrapped to make compact
curls (as if they were small bunches of grapes). This
particular Pibiones weaving technique results in
relief to the fabric, creating a design between high
relief and low relief fabric. It is made from natural
materials, wool from Sardinian sheep, materials that
are environmentally sustainable because the use of
wool avoids the use of synthetics. The colors are
natural and handmade.
