La collezione Maddy comprende una poltrona, un poggiapiedi, moduli
terminali con braccioli o centrali, permettendo così di creare configura-
zioni flessibili ed eleganti, adattabili a qualsiasi spazio.
Dal punto di vista produttivo ogni elemento è composto da un telaio in
acciaio verniciato a polvere al quale è fissato la vasca in abs che racco-
glie una struttura rigida in polistirolo con molle in appoggio. L’imbottitura
rivestita in tessuto, pelle o eco-pelle trapuntato aumenta il comfort della
seduta. Il principio costruttivo di Maddy consente di disassemblare com-
pletamente il prodotto a fine ciclo di vita.
Fedele alla filosofia di Alias, che privilegia la riduzione delle geometrie
a favore di un utilizzo innovativo dei materiali, Maddy si distingue per la
leggerezza visiva e la pulizia formale, unite ad un comfort avvolgente. L’e-
leganza della collezione emerge dalla cura dei dettagli, come le cuciture
e impunture, che ne esaltano unicità e valore estetico.

The Maddy collection includes an armchair, a footstool, end modules
with armrests or central modules, allowing for flexible and elegant confi-
gurations that can be adapted to any space.
Each element consists of a powder-coated steel frame to which an ABS
tray is attached, which holds a rigid polystyrene structure with suppor-
ting springs. The upholstery covered in quilted fabric, leather or eco-le-
ather increases the comfort of the seat. The design approach of Maddy
allows the product to be completely dismantled when it reaches the end
of its life cycle.
True to the Alias philosophy, which emphasises the reduction of geome-
tries in favour of an innovative use of materials, Maddy stands out for its
visual lightness and formal cleanliness, combined with an enveloping
comfort. The elegance of the collection emerges from the attention to
detail, such as the seams and stitching, which enhance its uniqueness
and aesthetic value.

“I wanted the design to be an expression of the original concept: a tubular metal structure, a kind of
exoskeleton with a coloured finish, on which the seat and backrest are rolled up and positioned. As
always, I emphasised the importance of the comfort level that is essential for all products. Maddy is first
and foremost a visual expression of its comfort, an invitation affirmed by the arrangement of the seat.”
