EN In 1830 Honoré de Balzac in his Treatise on the Elegant Life gave his
definition of the art of living. Investigating the different expressions of
refinement – from fashion to charisma to good taste – he came to the
conclusion that “the elegant life is the art of animating repose.” Almost two
hundred years have passed, but his insights still appear quite contemporary.
Because we believe that elegance is the ability to grasp and savor the
beautiful even in seemingly unremarkable moments. And that means
establishing an intense relationship with the space in which one lives. This is
why we design each Agape collection as an integral part of an architecture.
Agape Destinations is our guide to these ‘architectures for elegant living’.
We have carefully selected some of the most inspiring ones around the
world: from finely ornate Baroque palaces to remote island retreats, from
brutalist structures in the middle of the city center to wine estates nestled in
red soil. Projects imagined and realized by some of the most inspiring
contemporary architects. Places dedicated to hospitality, welcoming our
solutions, the result of more than 50 years of patient research dedicated to
the bathroom, into their most intimate space. Because there is a timeless
Agape design suitable for every place.
So we take you to these places, hoping that they will inspire you to

IT Nel 1830 Honoré de Balzac all’interno del Trattato della vita elegante dava
la sua definizione di arte di vivere. Indagando le diverse espressioni di
raffinatezza – dalla moda al carisma al buon gusto – arrivava alla conclusione
che “la vita elegante è l’arte di animare il riposo”. Sono passati quasi
duecento anni, ma il suo pensiero ci sembra ancora attuale. Perché crediamo
che l’eleganza sia la capacità di cogliere e di assaporare il bello anche in
momenti apparentemente irrilevanti. Che significa stabilire un’intensa
relazione con lo spazio in cui si vive. Ed è questo il motivo per cui
