Al tempo stesso le esigenze \ndell’ambiente inﬂuenzano il prodotto, dando vita ad oggetti \npersonalizzati o completamente nuovi come la lampada \nDuca. Questo progetto è stato infatti pensato dal designer \nNicola Gallizia per essere inserito nel restyling del ME Milan \nIl Duca e studiata nell’illuminotecnica e realizzata da Oluce \nattraverso il servizio Bespoke Tailoring. La lampada, battezzata \nDuca proprio in onore del luxury hotel milanese, è stata poi in \nquesto caso inserita tra le proposte a catalogo dell’azienda.\nCase histories reveal a continuous exchange between the \nsetting and the product, where Oluce lamps shape the spaces \nin which they are placed and contextually adapt to fulﬁl the \nneeds of the spaces themselves. The Hotel ME Milan Il Duca \nis an example of this type of aesthetic and functional osmosis, \ndemonstrating how a cascade of the Francesco Rota-designed \nKin successfully transforms a transit area into a spectacular \nsetting. At the same time, the needs of the setting inﬂuence the \nproduct, giving rise to personalised or brand-new objects such \nas the Duca lamp.
