The designers also maintain an \nexperimental activity with Galerie kreo, which is also essential to the development \nof their work.\n   \nMARIALAURA IRVINE\nMarialaura Rossiello Irvine (born in 1972) has been the creative force behind Studio \nIrvine for over a decade. A graduate of Architecture from Naples under the mentorship \nof Riccardo Dalisi, Marialaura is guided by an intrinsic respect for the narrative \nfoundations of architecture. She began her career with a passion for traditional design \nbefore advancing to Milan to study Strategic Design at Politecnico di Milano. With \nmarketing, communication, and strategy as focal points, she gained valuable \nexperience collaborating with top Italian design firms, viewing products as part of a \ncompany's overall strategy. Later, she began blending her expertise with the British \ndesign approach, working alongside her late husband, James Irvine. Her design \nprocess defies attachment to any single style or typology; it is distinguished by a \nmeticulous methodology fueled by comprehensive research and profound historical \nunderstanding that informs each stage of the design journey. Marialaura’s philosophy \nis akin to a radical whisper, advocating the transformative potential of materiality. \nMarialaura's portfolio includes collaborations with esteemed clients including Arper, \nMuji, Thonet, M+, FormaCemento, Olivari, MATTEOBRIONI, among others. Her studio, \nbased in the center of Milan, specializes in product design, art direction, and \narchitecture. The approach is recognizable not only in the final product or space \nbut in the entire process that, starting from the material, involves all the stages of \ntransformation: from production to communication and product strategy. The mission \nis to simplify to improve the overall design and production. Her research is linked to \nmono-materiality, always in search of a synthesis that, following an industrial \napproach, reduces material waste.\n   \nSTUDIO NITZAN COHEN \nProf. Nitzan Cohen (born in 1973), is a multidisciplinary designer and Dean of the\nFaculty of Design and Art at the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano.\nAfter completing his studies at the Design Academy Eindhoven, he worked with\nKonstantin Grcic and later established his own design practice (Studio Nitzan Cohen)\ncollaborating with a wide range of partners, from large international corporations to\nartisanal workshops, cultural institutes and Museums. Today, Konstantin Grcic Design is based  \nin Berlin and is active in several fields ranging from industrial design projects, design \neditions, exhibition design and collaborations in architecture and fashion.\nAmong his producers are Artek, ClassiCon, Flos, Flötotto, Kettal, Laufen, Magis, \nMattiazzi, Muji, Mutina, Nespresso, Plank, Serafino Zani and Vitra.
