La ricerca su forme e materiali dell’azienda \napproda ad una tappa importante nel 2004 con “layout”, un \nsistema di contenitori disegnato da Michele De Lucchi. Il 2007 segna \nl’ampliamento della proposta outdoor: la collezione “teak” di Alberto \nMeda, “open system” di James Irvine e la collezione di poltrone e \ndivani “dehors” di Michele De Lucchi.\nNel 2009 Alias amplia la proposta di tavoli con la collezione “biplane” \ndi Alberto Meda. After his debut with “lightlight” \n(1987), Alberto Meda developed the frame chair in 1994, with an \nextruded aluminium structure and polyester mesh seat. \nThe poetics of lightness find expression in Riccardo Blumer’s \n“laleggera chair”, winner of the “Design Preis Schweiz” in 1997 \nand the “Compasso d’Oro” in 1998. Alias added further solutions \nfor the home and office environments with the collection “Atlas” \nby Jasper Morrison and \"SEC\" (1996-97), a modular shelf system \nto create practically an endless amount of different compositions, \ndesigned by Alfredo Häberli. The new millennium opened with \n“flexus” by Paolo Rizzatto, a brand new form of upholstery, in \nwhich the holes in the back lighten our perception of its dimensions. \nThe partnership with Alberto Meda had a new, significant impulse, \nwith the development of the frame concept: in this period the \n“rollingframe” (2001) and “meetingframe” (2002) armchairs \nand the “frametable” (2003) were launched. 2007 marked the \nextension of the outdoor range, with: “teak” by Alberto Meda and \n“open system” by James Irvine. Deux interprétations \nde la chaise à coque rigide inspirées du design des années 50: la \npremière revoit l’esthétique des petits fauteuils enveloppants du \ndesign scandinave dont elle allège la ligne pour un effet minimaliste. \nLa seconde se réapproprie la tradition des chaises en fil de fer: la coque \ndevient une corbeille, sobre et accueillante, grâce aux entrelacs de \nronds d’acier soudés. La bibliothèque en aluminium extrudé \"Aline\" \nsignée Dante Bonuccelli n’était pas moins intéressante. Ce projet \narchitectural modulaire se réinvente grâce à une structure sobre et \nultralégère défiant les lois de la physique. Les livres deviennent ainsi \nune partie intégrante de la décoration.\nEn 2013, Alias présente \"Erice\" et sa variante rembourrée \"Enna\", \ndessinées par Alfredo Häberli qui conserve la sobriété et la pureté \ngraphique de \"Segesta\" mais lui donne une nouvelle forme à la forte \npersonnalité. Nicht \nweniger interessant das Bücherregal aus Strangpressaluminium \n“Aline” von Dante Bonuccelli. Ein modulares, architektonisches \nProjekt, neuinterpretiert mit einer reinen, sehr leichten Struktur, das \ndie Gesetze der Physik herausfordert. So werden die Bücher zum \nMittelpunkt der Raumgestaltung.\nIm Jahr 2013 präsentiert Alias “Erice” und die gepolsterte Variante \n“Enna” von Alfredo Häberli mit der Strenge und der grafische \nReinheit von Segesta und einer neuen Form mit ausgeprägter \nPersönlichkeit. Außerdem wurde die Kollektion „Frame“ von \nAlberto Meda mit einen technisch interessanten Kippmechanismus \nversehen und somit das Angebot erweitert. Abschließend noch \neine bedeutende Erweiterung der Kollektion Laleggera durch \nneue Leder- oder Kunstlederbezuege in Kombination mit weichem \nSchaumpolyurethan für einen größeren Komfort.\n2014 präsentierte Alias seine Vision des Wohnens und betont dabei \ndas untrennbare Band zwischen Mensch, Natur und Projekt. Unter \nanderem die Stuhl- und Tischkollektion “Tabu” von Eugeni Quitllet, \neine Neuinterpretation des traditionellen Handwerks; “Kayak” \nein technisch komplexes Projekt von Patrick Norguet mit einer \ngemütlichen, sehr ästhetischen und stabilen Sitzfläche; der Tisch \n“Ago” von Alfredo Häberli, für den traditionelle Materialien wie \nHolz, Glas und Metall harmonisch miteinander kombiniert wurden.\nAlias seats starred at the 2012 edition of the “Salone del Mobile” \nwith “Elle” by Eugeni Quitllet and “Kobi” by Patrick Norguet. Two \ninterpretations of the seat with rigid shell drawing their inspiration \nfrom 1950 furniture design; “Elle” redefined the aesthetics of \nthe wraparound chair of Scandinavian origin, with light, slender \nlines that achieved a minimal effect. “Kobi” took its cue from the \ntradition of the steel wire chairs where the seat becomes a finely \ndesigned and comfortable basket, generated by the welded wire \nmesh. Another eye-catcher was “Aline”, the bookcase made from \nextruded aluminium by Dante Bonuccelli. This is a modular project, \nfeaturing a clean, extra light structure that defies the laws of \nphysics. In this manner, books take pride of place in interior design.\nIn 2013 Alias unveiled “Erice” and its padded variant “Enna” styled \nby Alfredo Häberli, which revisited the sober design and graphic \nclarity of “Segesta“ with a new formula endowed with a strong \npersonality. Alberto Meda’s “Frame” collection was enriched \nthrough the addition of a new high-tech tilting mechanism. Finally, \nthe “Laleggera” collection was expanded with the launch of a new \nversion, upholstered with leather or eco-leather coupled with soft \npolyurethane foam, for enhanced comfort.\nIn 2014, Alias put on display its vision of the home by underscoring \nthe quintessential relationship between man, nature and design. \nAmong the proposals, “Tabu”, the chairs and table collection \nstyled by Eugeni Quitllet which found inspiration in the traditions \nof craftsmanship;  “Kayak”, a technically complex project by Patrick \nNorguet, characterised by a comfortable seat, combining attractive \nappearance and great stability; the table by Alfredo Häberli, “Ago”, \nreflecting a fine balance between three traditional materials, wood, \nglass and metal.\nAl Salone del Mobile 2012 protagoniste sono state le linee di \nsedute “Elle” di Eugenie Quitllet e “Kobi” di Patrick Norguet. \nDue interpretazioni della seduta con scocca rigida che prendono \nle mosse dal design degli anni 50: la prima riscrive l'estetica delle \npoltroncine avvolgenti del design scandinavo alleggerendone le \nlinee per un effetto minimal; la seconda si rifà alla tradizione delle \nsedie in filo di ferro in cui la scocca diventa un canestro, rigoroso e \naccogliente, creato dagli intrecci in tondino d’acciaio saldato. Non \nmeno interessante è stata la libreria in alluminio estruso “Aline” \nfirmata da Dante Bonuccelli. E' un progetto architettonico modulare \ne reinterpretabile con una struttura pulita e leggerissima che sfida le \nleggi della fisica. Così i libri diventano protagonisti dell'arredamento. \nNel 2013 Alias presenta “Erice” e la variante imbottita “Enna” \ndisegnate da Alfredo Häberli, che riprende il rigore e la limpidezza \ngrafica di “Segesta”, attraverso una nuova forma dotata di forte \npersonalità. E ancora, un nuovo meccanismo oscillante dall’alto \ncontenuto ingegneristico è stato introdotto nella collezione “Frame” \ndi Alberto Meda ampliandone l'offerta. These properties make PU foams suitable for use in \na variety of application sectors. The sofas in all the collections created by \nAlias use padding consisting of diversified density PUs, artfully combined \nfor enhanced comfort. PVC thread is the signature trait of spaghetti chair \nby Giandomenico Belotti, with seat and back featuring the characteristic \nartisan weave.
