Si è occupato anche di ricerca, interessandosi sia agli aspetti della prefabbricazione, \nsia ai problemi di creatività e di progettazione globale, e con il gruppo “Ricerche Non Finalizzate”, \nprende parte alle esposizioni della Triennale di Milano del 1968 e del 1973.\nNel campo dell’architettura il suo lavoro progettuale si è espresso al meglio nelle riqualificazioni di \nedifici preesistenti che, ricomposti in modo funzionale e moderno hanno trovato un nuovo dialogo \ntra i territori dell’anima e del paesaggio, spesso con il tramite magico dell’arte contemporanea\nPer la sua ricerca di sintesi tra forma e funzione ha ottenuto il premio Compasso d’Oro nel 1979 per \nMetrosistema, attrezzatura da cucina per abitazioni e comunità, insieme con due menzioni d’onore \nper altri due progetti. A questi riconoscimenti si era aggiunta un’altra menzione nel 1987, alla XIV \nedizione del premio.\nEN \nBiography - Claudio Salocchi\n \nClaudio Salocchi was an Italian architect and designer. He was a protagonist of the \ncreative ferment of the 60s and 70s who knew how to interpret the transformations of that \nperiod into projects that anticipated forms, functionalities, technologies and new typologies that \nbecame trends many years later. In his long career he was internationally involved for more than \nfifty years in the fields of industrial design, architecture and interior design.\nFrom 1967 he was a member of ADI, the Association for Industrial Design, of which he was vice \npresident from the 80s until the beginning of the 90s.\nHe was an independent and unclassifiable figure: as a designer, his works are related to the \nexclusive collaboration with some companies born at that time that rapidly stood out for their \nunique products, giving to the history of Italian Design an important contribution.\nHe researched and was interested in prefabrication, creativity, and design matters, and with the \ngroup “Ricerche Non Finalizzate” - he took part in the expositions at the Triennale di Milano in \n1968 and 1973. As for architecture, his work found its best expression in the refurbishing of pre-\nexisting buildings, transformed in a functional and modern way.
